Freelance Senior Project Manager


The Company

A prestigious multi-national subcontractor who specialise in high-end luxury refurbishment and fit out projects. They hold an impressive portfolio of works including some of Europe's most prestigious and iconic historic buildings. They employ a number of experts in specialist crafts such as; stone & marble, decoration, facades & roofs and wood work. They take huge pride in the quality and detail of their work and thrive off customer satisfaction.



The Project

You will be assisting in the delivery of a £40m internal fit out to a Grade 2 listed building in North West London. This is a high profile and prestigious mixed-use scheme with an overall project value of £500m+. You will work closely with the Project Director and Principal Contractor in order to ensure that works are handed over to the highest of standards, in a timely manner and within budget.

Requirements

For this role it is essential that you carry the following professional qualifications as a minimum;

* SMSTS
* CSCS Card

It is also essential that you hold the experience below;

* Excellent working knowledge of operating on major projects
* Previously managed extremely high- end internal fit out and finishing
* Impressive track record of working on projects which overall values of up to £200m

Additional skills;

* Ability to lead a team sufficiently
* Knowledgeable in programme management
* Good verbal and written communication skills

The Role

Job Title: Senior Project Manager

Project: £500m+ Grade 2 listed major mixed-use development in London

Duration: 12 Months

Reporting to: Project Manager



Duties

* Ordering materials
* Maintaining quality control checks
* Conducting quality and safety inspections
* Reporting on project progress to senior managers
* Signing off and handing completed work over to the client
* Ensuring work is finished to an exceptionally high standard
* Liaising with other sub-contractors and the principal contractor
* Day to day problem solving and dealing with any issues that arise
* Assist in the supervision of direct employees and agency labour
* Managing health and safety throughout the site including site safety inspections
* Overseeing and managing project schedules and budgets to ensure work is completed on time
