Project Engineer - Civil Water Framework

The Project



As an experience Project Engineer, you will ensure that the mechanical and electrical engineering packages are effectively coordinated and completed. This role will be on various water infrastructure projects such as pumping stations, water treatment works and pipelines.



Requirements

For this role it is essential that you carry the following professional qualifications as a minimum;

* First Aid
* CSCS Card
* Driving Licence
* SMSTS / SSSTS
* Knowledge of AutoCAD
* HNC or Degree in Civil Engineering or related field

For this role it is essential that you hold the skills & experience below;

* Experience in the Water Industry as a Project Engineer or similar role

The Role

* Job Title: Project Engineer

* Reporting to: Project Manager



Duties

* Manage MEICA packages within company budget and timelines
* Organise and plan mechanical/electrical technical solutions to ensure design and regulatory requirements are met
* Identify, plan and coordinate engineering interfaces between packages and existing assets
* Advise project managers / tranche managers; execute mechanical / electrical work packages across all stages of the project
* Provide technical assurance for mechanical / electrical supply chain engineering
* Liaise with project managers, procurement teams, quality service representatives and designers to deliver timely and efficient mechanical & electrical work packages for procurement
* Understand and implement quality, safety and environmental policies and targets
* Undertake safety inspections
* Actively promote safe working practices and promote health and safety practices
* Provide an effective mechanical / electrical technical interface between design teams, construction teams and supply chain
* Report into project teams on performance and key issues
* Adhere to change control procedures and effectively address technical queries
* Ensure timely involvement and engagement of the commissioning teams
