The Company

A well-established construction contractor who specialise in large distribution centres. They use fully coordinated project delivery, planning and design flexibility to provide clients and stakeholders with a tailor-made service specific to their requirements.

The Project

As a Project Manager / Senior Site Manager, you will be working closely and reporting to the Project Director, you will be overseeing the success of operating on a large new build project which will hold the value of up to £60m. This scheme will be based in Leicestershire and will be ongoing for up to 12 months.

Requirements

For this role it is essential that you carry the following professional qualifications as a minimum;

* SMSTS
* First Aid
* CSCS Black Card

It is also essential that you hold the experience below;

* Holds previous experience in new build industrial units
* Extensive experience of conducting projects holding the values of up to £60m

Additional skills;

* Ability to lead a team sufficiently
* Knowledgeable in project management
* Good verbal and written communication skills
* Able to multitask / manage more than one job at once
* Excellent abilities in software and computer skills including Cost Management systems, Microsoft Office and Teams, Word, Excel, Adobe and PowerPoint

Duties

* Cost Control
* Progress reporting
* Managing own diary
* Carrying out site visits
* Chair and attend site meetings
* Efficiently managing multiple jobs
* Conduct regular quality inspections
* Carry out programme and budget evaluations
* Liaising with the end client and key stakeholders
* Management of onsite labour and subcontractors
* Supervising teams comprising various disciplines
* Oversee and implement health & safety regulations
* Negotiate with vendors, suppliers and subcontractors
* Liaise with the commercial team on estimating costs and timeframes
* Participating in the value engineering and buildability aspects of the project
* Reaching an agreement with planners and relevant production staff on construction methods and schedules
* Organizing resources for the comprehensive management and implementation of the project, including the appointment of subcontractors to perform the necessary work
* Ensuring the establishment, monitoring, and control of critical dates, resource needs, production rates, overhead targets, and other related factors
