Project Manager
The Company
A well established, multi-national main contractor who have been operating across the UK and Ireland for over 80 years, with an annual turnover of £200m+. They have an impressive project portfolio, delivering high value schemes in the build and civil engineering sectors including student accommodation, healthcare, residential, leisure, highways, water treatment and windfarms. They have a strong sense of social responsibility and are committed to reducing their carbon footprint and greenhouse emissions within the next 10 years.
The Project
As an experienced Project Manager, you will be leading the site team on a fast-paced new build development near Loughborough. The project consists of new offices, canteen and utilities with a build value of approximately £10m. You will lead the team to ensure client satisfaction whilst having tight control of project budget and time scales.
Requirements
For this role it is essential that you carry the following professional qualifications as a minimum;
* CSCS
* SMSTS
* Full UK Driving License
* Degree level qualified or an equivalent in a construction related topic
It is also essential that you hold the experience below;
* Managing large teams on high profile projects up to £30m
* Previous experience of working with concrete frames and delivering to a high standard
The Role
* Job Title: Project Manager
* Project: £10m office & canteen block near Loughborough
* Duration: 6 months+
* Reporting to: Contracts Manager
Duties
* Cost Control
* Progress reporting
* Running ECI projects
* Chair and attend site meetings
* Conduct regular quality inspections
* Carry out programme and budget evaluations
* Liaising with the end client and key stakeholders
* Management of onsite labour and subcontractors
* Supervising teams comprising various disciplines
* Oversee and implement health & safety regulations
* Negotiate with vendors, suppliers and subcontractors
* Liaise with the commercial team on estimating costs and timeframes
* Reaching an agreement with planners and relevant production staff on construction methods and schedules
* Organizing resources for the comprehensive management and implementation of the project, including the appointment of subcontractors to perform the necessary work
* Establish and maintain control over planning, programming, financials, resources, materials, subcontractors, health & safety and other external factors throughout the cycle of the project
