The Project

The initial project that you will be working on is the construction and delivery of a complex £20m manufacturing facility near Peterborough. You will be leading the project to ensure that works are carried out to an exceptionally high standard, in budget and on time. You will be joining our Tier 1 clients busy Manufacturing division with a number of similar projects in the pipeline.

Requirements

For this role it is essential that you carry the following professional qualifications as a minimum;

* SMSTS
* First Aid
* CSCS Card

It is also essential that you hold the experience below;

* Excellent problem-solving skills
* The ability to support to and lead a site team
* Strong working knowledge of the construction industry
* Previous long-term employment with a Tier 1 contractor
* Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
* Demonstratable experience of leading a similar scheme from inception to completion

Duties

* Progress reporting
* Chair and attend site meetings
* Conduct regular quality inspections
* Carry out programme and budget evaluations
* Liaising with the end client and key stakeholders
* Management of onsite labour and subcontractors
* Oversee and implement health & safety regulations
* Negotiate with vendors, suppliers and subcontractors
* Liaise with the commercial team on estimating costs and timeframes
