Fun-draising for The Caval Foundation

Caval Fundraising

Over the course of the last year our team have put themselves through some incredibly tough ordeals (eating cake at the bake sale was such an arduous challenge) to help ensure the ongoing support for the eight local charities that make up The Caval Foundation.

A special shout out to the following superstars for their dedication and altruism:

Adam – National Three Peaks Challenge
Adam participated in the National Three Peaks Challenge, pushing himself to climb the UK’s highest mountains in under 24 hours. This was no mean feat and we are quite frankly in awe of his achievement.

Christine – Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge
She did it! Christine challenged herself to climb the Yorkshire Three Peaks, hiking up Pen-y-Ghent (694 metres), Whernside (736 metres) and Ingleborough (723 metres) in under 12 hours. Our legs are sore just thinking about it and we’d like to congratulate her on her fantastic accomplishment.

Leeds Office Team – Tuck Shop Challenge
Earlier this year the team at our head office in Leeds raised money by hosting a tuck shop, where everyone could buy snacks and drinks with the proceeds going directly to our eight charities. This perhaps may not seem as inspiring or notable as climbing high peaks in blustery conditions, but the team showed just as much dedication to drinking fizzy pop and eating Wham bars as Adam and Christine did to hiking. Fundraising, however big or small the event, is not to be sniffed at and we support any and every effort and would like to thank all who were involved (although I’m not sure our dentists would agree).

Glasgow Office – Edinburgh Marathon Festival
In June this year our Glasgow office travelled across to the Edinburgh Marathon Festival and competed in the 10K run to raise money for The Caval Foundation. 10K! That’s a long way to run and we are so proud of our fantastic team members who put themselves forward for this. Thank you!

We’d also like to say a special thank you and massive congratulations to our regional manager, Ross, who not only competed in the 10K run but then went on to cross the finish line of the 26 mile long marathon. Good work!

The important charities that make up The Caval Foundation provide essential support to vulnerable people in the local communities in which we operate. Their causes mean an awful lot to us; each charity was chosen by members of our team for very personal reasons, which is why we will continue to host bake sales, run marathons, hike mountains and, of course, eat sweets, raising as much money as possible in whatever way we can.

If you would like to help out with any of our fundraising initiatives or have a suggestion for an event, please speak to a member of our Caval team. Alternatively, if you just wish to donate directly to any of The Caval Foundation’s nominated charities, you can do so via the links below:
