Low Carbon Manager

The Role

As a Low Carbon Manager, you will work closely with the wider sustainability team to support the development, suggest strategies and drive the delivery of carbon reductions across the North in order to achieve the business' carbon ambitions.



Requirements

For this role; It is essential that you hold the experience below;

* At least 5 years+ of experience within the construction industry and/or experience within a similar Carbon Management position
* A strong technical and/or project-based background such as commercial, design or operations

Additional skills;

* Strong attention to details
* Leading and management skills
* History of managing direct reports
* Great presentation and training skills
* Experience with Senior Team Leadership
* Passionate about low carbon construction
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Confident and proactive in managing own work load
* Ability to multitask and prioritize projects under pressure

* Strong IT skills including Excel, Word and MS Office



Details

* Job Title: Low Carbon Manager
* Job Type: Permanent
* Location: Leeds / North - Day-to-day working location is flexible however travel to sites across the region will be required
* Project: £5m - £100m+ Various Education, Commercial, Residential, MoD, MoJ and Healthcare projects across the North
* Reporting to: Head of Low Carbon Construction



Duties

* Developing and maintaining the companies Carbon Management process
* Train the wider workforce on new methods and develop their ability to effectively lower carbon
* Advising and working with the design team to deliver low carbon design solutions
* Monitoring and collecting data using carbon measurement tools to further understand the companies carbon footprint
* Deliver and present training internally and externally
* Communicating with a wide range of sub-contractors and consultants
* Conduct and distribute reports based on internal and external requirements/ targets
* Offering support to a range of sub-contractors, clients and consultants on their net zero processes and developments
