Contracts Manager Role - Tesco Stores (South)
One of our key clients are looking for an experienced Contracts Manager, to run multiple tesco stores in the South of Engalnd. You will be expected to look after the projects from start to finish, with strong programme skills and IT literate. A typical week will be one day on site (for audits) and the rest from home.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage multiple Tesco store refurbishment projects across the South of England.
* Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
* Collaborate with the project team, subcontractors, and suppliers to achieve project goals.
* Oversee all aspects of project planning, scheduling, and budgeting.
* Manage project risks, issues, and changes effectively.
* Ensure all work complies with relevant health and safety regulations.
* Foster strong client relationships and maintain clear communication with Tesco representatives.
* Provide regular progress reports to senior management.
Qualifications:
* Proven experience as a Contracts Manager in the construction industry.
* Experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
* Strong knowledge of construction processes and best practices.
* Excellent leadership and team management skills.
* Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
* Effective communication and negotiation skills.
* Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
* A relevant degree or professional qualification in construction management or a related field is preferred.
