Senior Planner - Construction & Civils

An Industry leading Tier 1 Main Contractor with a proud history of providing specialist design and build projects which exceed client's expectations. They have over 100 years' experience in the construction industry spanning a range of sectors including, education, justice, highways, health, defence water and aviation.



The Project



As a Senior Planner, you will Provide input to planning, schedule, preliminary and construction methodology for projects at pre-qualification, tender and contract stages by developing key sequence assessments. The role is based in their West Midlands office and you will visit project sites across the East Midlands.



Requirements

For this role it is essential that you carry the following professional qualifications as a minimum;

* CSCS Card
* Driving Licence
* Excellent communication skills both written and verbal



For this role it is essential that you hold the following experience below;

* Able to create programmes using one or more of the project management packages including Power-project, Microsoft Project, Asta, etc
* Experience and good knowledge of the construction / civil engineering sector and the technology and techniques used
* CIOB / ICE (Desirable)
* Early contract experience involvement
* NEC Compliant programmes

Duties

* Contribute to planning and programming during pre-selection and tendering, including development of construction methods
* Providing support to site teams to review progress or update programmes and report when needed
* Supervising of operational staff or a technician
* 4D planning
* Preparing presentation material using PowerPoint, Sketch-Up, Paint or similar and presenting our construction proposals at interview
* Aid in the preparation of programmes and works with the teams on site to produce design, procurement and construction programmes
* Aid in Business Continuity Planning and ensure that all team members are also aware
* Communicating with estimators, bid managers, designers, temporary works and subcontractors when necessary
