The Project

As an experienced Bid Manager, you will work closely with Bid Writers, Bid Coordinators, Proposal Managers and Designers on prequalification and tender submissions for education, healthcare and MoD/MoJ framework projects across the North East & Yorkshire regions.

Requirements

For this role it is ideal but not essential that you carry the following professional qualifications;

* Degree or equivalent level qualification within a relevant topic

It is also essential that you hold the skills & experience below;

* Experience working on bids across various sectors including Education, Healthcare or MoD/MoJ
* Good knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and MS Project
* Good verbal and written communication skills
* Strong research skills and effective questioning techniques
* Capable of establishing effective relationships with individuals at all levels
* Thinking creatively and solving problems efficiently while working under tight deadlines

* Reporting to: Bid Director

Duties

* Identify cost and efficiency drivers
* Generate and amend presentations
* Provide first draft submissions support
* Create and edit pre-qualification documents
* Conduct site visits as part of the Bid process
* Capture and gather evidence to support submissions
* Researching target markets for further work opportunities
* Manage relationships with new and existing clients as required
* Liaise with the wider Pre-construction team for technical content
* Populating generic organisational content into bid submission formats
* Pull together and shape construction information into strong submissions
* Construct and develop relationships with important business sector teams
* Write and edit potential statements and expression of interest documents
* Produce high-quality documents and submissions in line with identified deadlines
* Confidently lead the Bid process, ensuring all stakeholders are fully informed on progress
* Gathering cost and data information to ensure risks and commercial opportunities ar
