The Company

A well-established construction contractor based in the North East who are looking to expand their portfolio across the region, specialising in delivering new build and refurbishment schemes within the residential sector. At present, projects range up to £10m+ with high profile tenders in the pipeline for future works.



The Project

As a highly experienced Site Manager you will be overseeing the demolition and groundworks to a car park in preparation for a new build residential development in Edinburgh. You will play a crucial role in managing the groundworks and demolition subcontractors to ensure that works are completed on time, within budget and to a high standard.



Requirements

For this role it is essential that you carry the following professional qualifications as a minimum;

* SMSTS
* First Aid
* CSCS Card



The Role

* Job Title: Site Manager (Groundworks / Civils)

* Duration: 1 Month
* Reporting to: Contracts Manager



Duties

* Ordering materials
* Maintaining quality control checks
* Conducting quality and safety inspections
* Reporting on project progress to senior managers
* Signing off and handing completed work over to the client
* Ensuring work is finished to an exceptionally high standard
* Liaising with other sub-contractors and the principal contractor
* Day to day problem solving and dealing with any issues that arise
* Assist in the supervision of direct employees and agency labour
* Managing health and safety throughout the site including site safety inspections
* Overseeing and managing project schedules and budgets to ensure work is completed on time
