Head of HSEQC

The Company

A growing Principal Contractor are looking for a head of department to lead their SHEQ division due to company expansion and restructure. At current, the business is operating across the residential, commercial, industrial & retail sectors with projects valued up to £35m+.

Experience, Knowledge & Qualifications

For this role you must possess the following;

* 10 years+ experience in construction health and safety for a main Contractor
* Experience in implementing and monitoring Quality Assurance and Compliance
* NEBOSH General & Construction Certificates

The Role

As the Head of HSEQ you will lead the SHEQ department and managing Health, Safety, Environmental, Quality and Compliance across the business and a range of construction projects.

Duties

* Managing and delegating tasking to SHEQ Advisor and Administrators
* Strategic planning with the Operations Director and SLT to ensure consistent business improvement
* Reporting to the Operations Director
* Recruiting new team members to suit the business needs
* Site visiting auditing / site H&S support
* Implementation and communication of health and safety policies
* Risk management
* Ensure SHEQC processes suit the current business needs
* Maintenance of SSIP accreditations & IS Accreditations
* Site auditing Standards and the preparation and delivery of health & safety in-house training requirements
* Undertaking accident investigation and creating reports and associated documents
* Assessing RAMS
* Demonstrate technical and practical knowledge relating to construction health & safety with a sound working knowledge of CDM 2015
* Confident and experienced approach to Accident / Incident Investigation and reporting with ability to identify root cause and effect prevention measures.
