Freelance Setting Out Engineer

The Company

A national construction contractor with over 60 years' experience and regional offices all over the UK, who provide their clients with a diversity of work across a number sectors from residential and education to healthcare and student accommodation.



The Project

As an experienced Freelance Setting out Engineer, you will be working on a £40m new build hotel in the Haymarket area of Edinburgh. This project is part of a larger regeneration scheme with a build value of £300m. You will play a key role in ensuring the timely delivery of the project as well as working closely with the senior management team.



Requirements

For this role it is essential that you carry the following professional qualifications as a minimum;

* CSCS Card
* Degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering



Additional skills;

* Proficient in AutoCAD
* Good verbal and written communication skills
* Previous experience on similar projects with similar build values
* Computer literate with strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office

Duties

* Surveying
* Setting Out
* Problem solving
* Quality Assurance
* Adhere to current H&S regulations
* Create as built surveys and log data
* Attend and contribute in project related meetings
* Provide progress updates to The Senior Management Team
* Provide Technical Advice to Project Team members and Clients
