A well-established build and civil engineering contractor, who have been operating in the industry for 25+ years. They have experience throughout a range of sectors including retail, education, industrial and residential. Operating nationwide and specialising in fast-track construction solutions creating a 'one-stop-shop' for their clients.
The Project
As an experienced Clerk of Works, you will be working on a £200m New Build Arena in Manchester. You will be working on behalf of the MEP subcontractor and carrying out regular site inspections to ensure that work is being carried out to the correct specifications as well as legal, safety and environmental standards.
Requirements
For this role it is essential that you hold the experience below as a minimum;
* CSCS Card Holder
* Good verbal and written communication skills
* Outstanding observational skills and attention to detail
* A broad knowledge of the construction industry covering materials, trades, building methods, and legal requirements
The Role

* Duration: 12 Months
* Reporting to: Project Manager
Duties
* Ensuring safety and quality
* Regularly liaising with contractors
* Monitoring detailed record of work
* Overseeing all construction works
* Reporting directly to Project Manager
* Measuring and quality checking building materials
* Closely analysing defects and determine ways to correct them
* Review construction work and compare it with drawings and specifications
* Efficiently reviewing project documentation and examining the scope of project
* Monitor progress and reporting to construction managers, architects and clients
* Checking that building regulations, health and safety, legal and ecological requirements are met
* Responsible for inspecting construction work to ensure it meets standards and health and safety requirements
