A leading Specialist Structures construction company based in Scotland. A company with over 18 years of experience is looking to bring on quality personal due to the award of a large project.



The Project

The project is the construction of a steel industrial unit in South Shields, Newcastle.



We are looking for an engineer to manage and liaise with the client and to carry out some setting out.



Requirements

For this role it is essential that you carry the following professional qualifications as a minimum;

* SMSTS
* First Aid
* CSCS Card
* Driving Licence
* HNC or Degree in Civil Engineering or related field

For this role it is essential that you hold the skills & experience below;

* Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
* Experience in Piling, heavy civils, groundworks & concrete
* Experience in managing engineers
* Experience in setting out

The Role

* Job Title: Site / Senior Engineer
* Location: Newcastle (South Shields)
* Duration: 8 Months
* Reporting to: Project Manager



Duties

* Ordering Materials
* Supervising Works
* To attend Team Briefs
* Facilitate agreement of variations
* Attend in-house progress meetings
* Setting up and maintaining site control
* Setting Out Sites and Organising Facilities
* Ensuring compliance with works standards
* Setting out of groundworks, concrete & piling
* Oversee and help push the project to completion
* Organise and supervise temporary works when required
* Undertaking Land, Stockpile and Construction Work Surveys
* Checking and Preparing Site Reports, Designs and Drawings
* Liaising With Clients, Subcontractors and Other Professional Staff
* Organising labour and plant and materials for a number of projects
