Senior Project Manager - Civil Highways

The Project
As an experienced Project Manager, you will oversee and manage various contracts for the company in accordance with company objectives and procedures. You will lead the project from inception to completion and ensure that all works are completed to specification, in budget and on time. You will also manage direct labour and any contractors whilst being based on site to ensure all Health and Safety regulations are adhered to. The project is a large Highways and structures development in Cumbria.
Requirements
For this role it is essential that you carry the following professional qualifications as a minimum;
* SMSTS
* CSCS Black Card
* Degree in a Civil Engineering / Construction related discipline
* Experience in a Project Management role on a large Civils project
* Successfully lead Highways and civil structures developments as a project manager previously
For this role it is essential that you hold the skills & experience below;
* Proficient in Microsoft Office
* Has excellent written & verbal reporting skills
* Technical knowledge of construction and best practices
* Project Management experience in the Construction industry
* Knowledge of SHEQ procedures in a construction & civil engineering environment
* Good working knowledge of contract conditions, CDM regulations, Design Management, Programme & Risk Management and cost control including forecasting, actual cost and value reporting

* Responsible for the delivery and quality of work to the required standards
* Ensure all internal and external reporting is completed as required
* Planning, programming, and resourcing contracts
* Appointing a TWC and ensure all TW requirements are delivered on time
* Lead the commercial team to manage costs and maximise cashflow and profitability
* Identifying tender and other financial opportunities
* Delegating duties to engineering and contracts staff
* Organise, prepare and oversee the establishment of site offices and site locations
* Selection of staff in line with the project needs
* Identifying, evaluating, and managing claims and variations
