Contracts Supervisor
The Company
Our client is a limited company with over a decade of experience, specialising in internal and external painting and decorating works on commercial and industrial fit-outs as well as industrial floor coatings on projects throughout London and the South East.
The Project
As an experienced Contracts Supervisor, you will be overseeing the site team and day to day operations on a number of commercial spraying and decorating projects across East London and Essex. Working for a specialist subcontractor, you will liaise with the main contractor and the wider management team to ensure the successful delivery of the section of works. Projects mostly consist of commercial offices and industrial units and you will be expected to regularly attend site to ensure works are completed on time, within budget and to a high standard.
Requirements
For this role it is essential that you carry the following professional qualifications as a minimum;
* SMSTS
* First Aid
* CSCS Card
* Valid UK Driving License
It is also essential that you hold the experience below;
* Decorating background is preferable but not essential
* Good understanding of finishes, drawings and specifications
The Role
* Job Title: Contracts Supervisor
* Location: Essex / East London
* Project: Various commercial painting and decorating projects across the industrial and commercial sectors
* Reporting to: Managing Director
Duties
* Looking after multiple sites
* Demonstrate negotiation and problem-solving skills
* Monitoring and control of direct and indirect operatives
* Conduct meetings on-site with both client and construction team
* Overseeing health and safety and quality assurance audits on site
* Provide both internal and external contract-related issue resolution
* Planning and monitoring works and regularly reviewing of the programme
* Monthly reporting and attending regular meetings with the Managing Director
* Monitor and complete contract close-out, extension or renewal, as appropriate
* Manage record keeping for all contract-related correspondence and documentation
* Communicate contractual changes to all stakeholders, administration and/or management
* Liaising with the end client, local authorities, senior management and other third party stakeholders
* Coordination and management of tenders, cost-planning and developing in preconstruction and construction phases
