The Project

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be overseeing the internals packages on a new build high rise residential project in Central Manchester with a build value in excess of £60m.

Requirements

For this role it is essential that you hold the experience below;

* Experience working with major contractors/subcontractors on developments in excess of £10m+
* History of working on new build / refurbishment projects in the commercial / accommodation sectors in a similar position.

The Role

* Job Title: Freelance Senior Quantity Surveyor
* Project: £60m new build high rise residential project in Central Manchester
* Location: Manchester City Centre
* Duration: 12 Months+
* Reporting to: Director

Duties

* Procurement
* Reporting to Director
* Analysis of tender allowances
* Closely monitoring site activities
* Preparing material reconciliations
* Cash management and maximization
* Monitoring and overseeing measures
* Ability to multitask and prioritise projects
* Preparing and submitting material delivery sheets
* Maintain sustainable and productive relationships with existing clients
* Develop accurate and consistent bids with the help of relevant departments
* Working closely with subcontractors to ensure accurate costs and payments
* Participate in the recording of delays & preparation of any request for extensions of time
* Generate/maintain relevant records, accurate filing and support for all commercial functions
* Preparation and administration of procurement advice, tenders, tender reviews and advice
* Ensure deadlines are actively managed and progress is reported to supervisors as required
* Provide tender analysis to relevant people for approval of proposed sub-contractor prior to placing of orders
