The Company

Our client is a Leading Main Contractor and has recently won some amazing projects and frameworks for the next 5-10 years. Our client specialises in the repair and maintenance of buildings, structures and highways. With over 50 years' experience in their field, they are trusted and well respected throughout the UK.

The Project

As an experienced Project Manager, you will oversee and manage various contracts for the company in accordance with company objectives and procedures. You will lead the project from inception to completion and ensure that all works are completed to specification, in budget and on time. The contracts will be concrete repair and maintenance on the Highways in the West Midlands.

Requirements

For this role it is essential that you carry the following professional qualifications as a minimum;

* SMSTS
* CSCS Black Card
* Degree or equivalent in a Civil Engineering / Construction related discipline

For this role it is essential that you hold the skills & experience below;

* Proficient in Microsoft Office
* Experience in concrete schemes
* Experience managing Highway Civil Schemes
* Has excellent written & verbal reporting skills
* Knowledge of SHEQ procedures in a construction environment
* Project Management experience in civil engineering or construction

Duties

* Pre-contract planning and liaison with estimators
* Planning, programming, and resourcing contracts
* Identifying tender and other financial opportunities
* Delegating duties to engineering and contracts staff
* Identifying, evaluating, and managing claims and variations
* Accepting, approving, and issuing contracts and subcontracts
* Compiling applications for payment and agreeing final accounts
* Providing quality input to regional management and planning meetings
* Managing projects to achieve financial, safety, quality, and environmental targets
* Monitor, review, issue and update subcontract liabilities, applications and payments
* Assist with supply chain (suppliers & subcontractor) approvals, assessments, and performance reviews
* Liaising, negotiating, and meeting with clients, consulting engineers, surveyors, sub-contractors and others
* Compiling contract plans, safety plans, method statements, risk assessments and other instructions to contract teams
