Setting Out Engineer

A national construction contractor with regional offices in the Yorkshire and Midlands area, who provide clients with a diversity of work across a number sectors from; residential and leisure to hospitality and student accommodation. The Project

As an experienced Freelance Setting Out Engineer, you will be working on a new £20m school in Perthshire, Scotland. There is a large package of steel frame installation on this project and you will oversee the practical and technical engineering elements, playing a key role in ensuring the timely delivery of the project as well as working closely with the senior management team.



Requirements

For this role it is essential that you carry the following professional qualifications as a minimum;

* CSCS Card
* Degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering



Additional skills;

* Proficient in AutoCAD
* Good verbal and written communication skills
* Previous experience on similar projects with similar build values
* Computer literate with strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office





The Role

* Job Title: Site Engineer
* Duration: 6 Months
* Project: £20m New Build School in Perthshire
* Reporting to: Project Manager



Duties

* Surveying
* Setting Out
* Problem solving
* Quality Assurance
* Adhere to current H&S regulations
* Create as built surveys and log data
* Attend and contribute in project related meetings
* Provide progress updates to The Senior Management Team
* Provide Technical Advice to Project Team members and Clients
