Sustainability Manager

The Project

You will work closely with project teams to enforce new and existing sustainability strategies, practices and assessment methods in order to deliver the requirements of the company's sustainability strategy. You will manage the delivery of sustainability across multiple projects at one time; within sectors such as residential, commercial, healthcare, leisure and education with values between £10m - £200m+

Requirements

For this role it is essential that you carry the following professional qualifications;

* BREEAM related training / certificate

It is also essential that you hold the experience below;

* Experience working in a Sustainability position on projects with build values up to £100m+
* Strong understanding of sustainable construction practices / methodologies and assessment methods
* History of using environmental assessment methods such as BREEAM, HQM, WELL etc

* Knowledgeable in environmental legislation
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Confident and proactive in managing own work load

* Strong understanding of social value, carbon reduction and waste reduction

Duties

* Make certain the companies EMS is implemented
* Oversee projects to reduce carbon emissions
* Ensure services and goods are ethically procured
* Work closely with the Regional Sustainability Manager
* Instruct project staff on environmental management and sustainability
* Confirm that all documents reflect the projects sustainability requirements
* Developing, implementing and monitoring company or organisational environmental strategies
* Uphold and work towards finding new, innovative and economically reductive ways to stay green
