The Project



As a Site Manager, you will play a vital role within the site and the company to oversee and manage construction Sites.



Requirements

For this role it is essential that you carry the following professional qualifications as a minimum;

* SMSTS
* Driving Licence
* CSCS Card (Black / Gold)
* NVQ or Degree in Civil Engineering or related field

For this role it is desirable that you hold the skills & experience below;

* Microsoft Office
* Knowledge of SHEQ procedures
* Experience running multiple sites at once

The Role

Duties

* Pre-start planning and liaison with estimators
* Delegating duties to engineering and site staff
* Budgeting, monitoring and control of site costs
* Completion, submission and archiving of site records
* Planning, programming, and resourcing site activities
* Ensure company SHEQ procedures are complied with
* Upkeep and maintenance of site files and other records
* Authorising operatives' holidays, other absences & expenses
* Managing of site staff, operatives, sub-contractors, and suppliers
* Ordering and approving materials, plant, and subcontract purchases
* Assisting in identifying, evaluating, and managing claims and variations
* Providing technical advice to site staff and feedback to estimators on outputs
* Managing sites to achieve financial, safety, quality, and environmental targets
* Providing information for compiling applications for payment and agreeing final accounts
* Liaising and meeting with clients, consulting engineers, surveyor, sub-contractors, and others
* Development of PSHEQP, method statements, risk assessments and other instructions to site teams
* Accepting, approving, and issuing orders and instructions from Clients and issuing to the Supply Chain
* Assist HR & Training departments with recruitment, onboarding, performance management & development of operatives
* Providing accurate information to Contracts Managers for regional monthly contract appraisals and other reports as required
* Implementing the Company's Quality procedures, development of Quality Plan, ensuring that all QC testing and records are carried out
