HSQE Advisor

The Project

As an experienced HSQE Advisor, you will provide support and advice for the safety on site.

Requirements

For this role it is essential that you carry the following qualifications as a minimum;

* CSCS
* NEBOSH General Certificate

It is also essential that you hold the skills & experience below;

* Experience in HSEQ Advisory role previously (rail exp is ideal)

The Role

* Job Title: HSQE Advisor
* Job Type: Contract
* Location: East London
* Contract Length: 3 months
* Reporting to: HSQE Manager

Duties

* Maintain Accident and Incident records and statistics
* Managers in identifying training needs, and organising courses
* Advise the site team on legislation changes and necessary actions
* Control RIDDOR reporting and liaison with third parties over incidents
* Carry out site monitoring and auditing of safety and environmental performance
* Act as liaison with the Client, HMRI, HSE, EA etc. on general project wide issues
* Research and advise on specialist measures that may need to be costed into tenders
* Assist the Site Manager in drawing up the contract Environmental Plan in the same way
* Maintain Safety and Environmental Training records and assist the HSE Manager and the Site
* Assist the Site Manager in drawing up the contract HSEQ Plan, including advice in risks and proposed methods of working
* Support the site teams in dealings with outside parties such as the Client Safety Representatives, HSE, HMRI, Local EHO etc
* Keep up to date with legislation through reading, obtaining material through update services and attending seminars etc
* Advise the HSE Manager and site team on actions required to improve performance, and help in organising specific initiatives
* During the course of the contract, act as a source of safety and environmental support to the site team, offering advice on specialist methodology, legislative requirements, general methods of working, tool box talks, review of subcontractor's methods and implementation of the Company Integrated Business Manual
