The Company

The Project

This position sits within the major works department covering prestigious developments across the UK and in Europe. Initially, you will be based on a £400m new build major development in the North East working closely with the planning and design teams.



Requirements

For this role it is ideal but not essential that you carry the following;



* Degree, HND or equivalent industry qualification
* Experience working on data centres / manufacturing plants is advantageous but not essential



It is also essential that you hold the experience below;

* Experienced & familiar with managing / leading a large project team or multiple small project teams
* Comfortable and experienced working on major projects with build values in excess of £100m+
* Extensive background, 5 years minimum with a proven track record of success on major projects with a proven Major Main Contractor or Subcontractor

* Excellent IT skills
* Excellent sales and presentation skills
* Ability to multitask and prioritise projects
* Computer literate and commercially astute
* Can operate effectively using relevant software
* Strong communication and attention to details
* Indication of strong interpersonal and people management skills
* Holds significant knowledge on contract laws & planning techniques

Duties

* Identify and manage project risk
* Collate & validate project progress
* Ability to produce detailed programmes
* Carry out meetings related to programmes
* Liaise with clients and external planning consultants
* Provide planning services to projects and proposals
* Report project progress to the Construction Director
* Build relationships with clients, contractors and consultants
* Carry out continuous research to keep the company at the forefront of technology
* Communicate the projects expectations and performance measures to key stakeholders
* Pricing of prelims as part of tender submissions and analysis of Labour Resource & Plant
* Prepare proposals and site plans
