The Company

A leading global construction group providing technical regeneration services across the UK. Our client operates across various build sectors including: residential, education, healthcare, facilities and maintenance and upholds a strong sense of social responsibility throughout their business. They have an impressive portfolio of major developments with build values in excess of £200m alongside a healthy track-record of profit growth and annual global revenue in excess of £50bn. They are a highly awarded contractor with a number of industry awards and accreditations.



The Project

As an experienced Externals Manager you will oversee the £17m externals package on a £100m new build mixed-use development in South East London. You will work closely with the site team, subcontractors and the end client to ensure the work is delivered to specification, on time and in budget.



Requirements

For this role it is essential that you carry the following professional qualifications as a minimum;

* SMSTS
* CSCS

It is also essential that you hold the experience below;

* Experiencing working with precast concrete
* Extensive background, with a proven track record of success on major projects with a proven Main Contractor or Subcontractor
* Comfortable and experienced working on projects with build values in excess of £20m+

Additional skills;

* Ability to multitask and prioritise projects
* Strong communication and attention to details
* Indication of strong interpersonal and people management skills

Duties

* Health & Safety
* Manage the KPIs
* Progress Reporting
* Updating Site Diaries
* Inductions / Toolbox Talks
* Quality Inspections / Snagging
* Ordering / Receiving of materials
* Chairing and participating in project meetings
* Management of onsite labour including subcontractors
* Reporting in to and working closely with the Senior Management Team and project stakeholders
* You will interact with both construction professionals and the client whilst managing a high pressure and busy environment
