The Project
As a highly experienced Health & Safety Manager, you will be working for a specialist subcontractor on a £500m Redevelopment project in West London. Our client is managing a large steel work package which includes up to 20,000 ft of structural steel work. You will liaise closely with the site team to ensure the project meets Health & Safety standards and is delivered safely and within budget.
Requirements
For this role it is essential that you carry the following professional qualifications as a minimum;
* SMSTS
* CSCS Card
* IOSH or NEBOSH

Duties
* Inductions
* Tool box talks
* Health & Safety
* Manage direct reports
* Review of RAMS / MS
* Site inspections / audits
* First aid / nursing duties
* Ability to apply root cause analysis
* Liaise with the Site Manager and client
* Offering general health and safety advice to all employees
* Monitoring health and safety risks and hazards in the workplace
* Carry out H&S inspections throughout the project as well as writing reports
* Ensuring the business is legally compliant with all health and safety legislation
* Advising employees on how to minimise or ultimately avoid risks and hazards in the workplace
* Managing emergency procedures (such as fire alarm drills) and organising emergency teams such as fire marshals and first aiders
