A Main Construction Contractor based in West Yorkshire that has a track record of delivering high quality projects across the education, housing and local authority sectors with values up to £2.5m+.
The Role
Working Foreman / Site Manager to manage and deliver groundwork and external packages on multiple fast paced projects in the education, housing and local authorities' sector with values up to £2.5m around Yorkshire.
Experience, Knowledge & Qualifications
As the Working Foreman / Site Manager, you must possess the following;
* 2+ years' experience working as a Site Manager on small works frameworks (£100k - £2.5m+)
* Ideally from a Groundworks / Bricklaying background
* Previous experience working in a fast-paced construction environment
* SMSTS
* 3 Day First Aid
Duties
* Prepared to go back onto the tools as and when required
* Ordering materials
* Maintaining quality control checks
* Liaising with internal sub-contractors
* Conducting quality and safety inspections
* Ensuring work is finished to a high standard
* Reporting on project progress to senior managers
* Ensuring high quality of workmanship is maintained at all times
* Supervising site labour (both directly employed and sub-contract)
* Day to day problem solving and dealing with any issues that arise
* Assist in the supervision of construction workers and subcontractors
* Overseeing project schedules and ensuring working is completed on time
* Managing health and safety throughout the site including site safety inspection
* Ensuring a safe and tidy site is maintained at all times and that site rules are adopted by all site personnel
