Senior Site Agent


The Company

A UK major main construction and engineering contractor with over 70 years' experience in the Rail, Build, Utility and Civil Sector. They have a vast portfolio of developments and have successfully delivered projects in excess of £400m+ which has allowed them to provide construction solutions to some of the world's most successful and enduring businesses.

The Project

* As an experienced Senior Site Agent, you will work on a city centre upgrade scheme where you will deliver projects safely, on time, within budget and to client specification.
* You will be the number one on a small city centre upgrade And you will be reporting directly to Senior Project Manager.
* You will have Section, Site and Graduate Engineers working underneath you.
* Typical job values with this team and this area are within the £4m-£12m mark.

Requirements

For this role it is essential that you carry the following qualifications as a minimum;

* CSCS Card
* Proficient in Microsoft Office
* SEATS / IOSH Environment
* Strong Knowledge of CDM 15
* SMSTS / IOSH Managing Safety
* Experience in managing teams and contributing to their professional development

It is also desired that you hold the skills & experience below;

* CEMAR
* Prince 2 / APM / ILM
* Viewpoint / Fieldview
* Utility Service Coordinator
* Temporary Works Coordinator
* HE Safety Passport and Common Induction
* HNC or Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
* Working with / safely excavating around services in a city centre environment

The Role

Duties

* Maintains quality control procedures at all times
* Pre-contract planning and liaison with estimators
* Planning, programming, and resourcing contracts
* Delegating duties to engineering and contracts staff
* Ensure all internal and external reporting is completed
* Ensure adequate resources to implement the program
* Manages a team of section, site and graduate engineers
* Identifying, evaluating, and managing claims and variations
* Able to relate company commercial strategy to own activities
* Plan and prepare for program delivery through out the project lifecycle
* Ensure that we establish and maintain close relationships with key suppliers
* Take responsibility for the delivery and quality of work to the required standards
* Alongside the Risk Manager and SPM manager risk & opportunities on the project
* Embed a culture based on fairness, respect, equality, diversity, inclusion and engagement
* Reporting any incidents following up that they are investigated properly and
