Architectural Technologist
The Company
A West Yorkshire based Architect Consultancy that specialises in the designing new build, refurbishment and extensions for the Education sector.
Experience, Knowledge & Qualifications
For this role you must possess the following;
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Architectural Technology or related discipline
* Experience working on projects ranging from small refurbishments to large new builds
* Strong technical knowledge and understanding of building regulations and construction techniques
* Membership of a professional body such as CIAT - Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists (Desirable)
* Proficient in the use of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
* Able to gain Enhanced DBS certification (The Business will fund)
The Role
An experienced Architectural Technologist to support the Design team in the designing and planning process of Education projects in West Yorkshire. You will be working in conjunction with Construction Contractors to ensure that projects are delivered to the correct specification
Duties
* Conduct site visits and surveys, produce feasibility studies and design proposals
* Liaise with clients, contractors, and other professionals throughout the project lifecycle to ensure projects are delivered on time and to budget
* Prepare and present detailed technical drawings, specifications, and schedules
* Use computer-aided design (AutoCAD) software to produce detailed design plans
* Prepare and manage project documentation including project programmes, cost plans, and reports
* Ensure compliance with building regulations and other relevant legislation
* Manage multiple projects simultaneously
* Proactively demonstrate an understanding of building regulations and construction techniques
