Group Training Manager


The Company

Our client has been established for over 20 years, and is the holding company for a number of large businesses. Their client portfolio includes construction, surveying, repairs and maintenance business who have been in operation for over 70 years.

The Project

To manage the learning and professional development of the Group's employees, by developing a comprehensive training package that encompasses both training and development, to maintain a motivated and skilled workforce and to fulfil the needs of the organisation.

Requirements

For this role it is essential that you carry the following qualifications as a minimum;

Person Specification

* Knowledge



Maintained working knowledge of developments in workplace training

Fully conversant with modern office equipment, and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel & Powerpoint



* Skills & Abilities:



Strong organisational, written & verbal reporting skills

Financial Acumen

Accurate record keeping

A keen attention to detail whilst being able to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines

Collaborative approach to communication with Clients / Supply Chain, Colleagues and Senior Management

Ability to manage and develop staff and operatives



* Experience:



Significant experience working in a training & managerial role, preferably within the construction Industry



* Qualifications:



Relevant Degree / Higher, Advanced or Found

The Role

* Job Title: Group Training Manager
* Job Type: Permanent
* Location: Mitcham
* Reporting to: Southern Regional Director

DUTIES

* Identifying training and development needs within the organisation

through job analysis, performance development schemes and regular

consultation with business managers and the HR department

* Managing the training department and its employees
* Ensuring statutory & company training requirements are met e.g. CSCS,

NVQ etc

* Producing an Annual Company Training Plan for all Group companies

and business units

* Liaise with the HR department on the recruitment of apprentices to facilitate

enrolment on the appropriate courses to fulfil the company's needs

* Co-ordinating the performance & development review process
* Managing the delivery of training and development programmes and

devising a training strategy for the organisation. This will include external

and in-house training courses, e-learning and use of other platforms such

as the Supply Chain Sustainability School

* Collate and monitor all employees training records both elec
