Site Engineer & Senior Engineer

The Company

Our client has been in business for over 70 years in the construction & civil engineering sector. They have over 35 lives sites across Northern Ireland, Scotland and England where they employ over 500 employees. Due to large project wins the company are looking to expand.



Due to the number of key projects the client has won they are looking to recruit a Site Engineer and a Senior Engineer.



The Project



The role is based on a large infrastructure development in the east of England.



Requirements

For this role it is essential that you carry the following professional qualifications as a minimum;

* First Aid
* CSCS Card
* Driving Licence

For this role it is essential that you hold the skills & experience below;

* Proficient with Microsoft Office Package
* Experience on large infrastructure projects
* Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
* A Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent is beneficial

The Role

Duties

* Setting out
* Ordering Materials
* Supervising Works
* To attend Team Briefs
* Raises RFI's and CVI's
* Training others in setting out
* Supervising a team of Engineers
* Facilitate agreement of variations
* Attend in-house progress meetings
* Setting up and maintaining site control
* Setting Out Sites and Organising Facilities
* Ensuring compliance with works standards
* Review of Project Design and Specification
* Providing Technical Advice; Problem Solving
* Ensuring Projects Meet Agreed Specifications
* Attend and contribute in project related meetings
* Management of onsite labour including subcontractors
* Organise and supervise temporary works when required
* Receiving and assessing design changes from the client
* Direct point of contact between the client and the company
* Undertaking Land, Stockpile and Construction Work Surveys
* Checking and Preparing Site Reports, Designs and Drawings
* Aid in the testing and recording of workmanship and materials
* Liaising With Clients, Subcontractors and Other Professional Staff
* Organising labour and plant and materials for a number of projects
* Produce method statements for all operations carried out to be offered to the client for approval
