The Company

One of the UKs largest Contractors with over 50 years industry experience with projects spanning the length of the country. As a wider business they have an annual turnover in excess of £100m with this set to increase due to a number of successful bids.





The Project

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a vital role within the site and the company to ensure all works are completed to specification, in budget and on time.



Requirements

For this role it is essential that you carry the following professional qualifications as a minimum;

* First Aid
* CSCS Card
* Driving Licence
* HNC or Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field

For this role it is essential that you hold the skills & experience below;

* Completing Monthly budgets
* 4 years + as a Quantity Surveyor
* Experience as QS in the Rail Industry
* Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

Duties



* Procurement
* Analysis of tender allowances
* Preparing material reconciliations
* Cash management and maximisation
* Manage the procurement of sub-contractors
* Preparing and submitting material delivery sheets
* Strong communication, sales and presentation skills
* Compile, submit and agree the financial effects of variations
* Maintain sustainable and productive relationships with existing clients
* Develop accurate and consistent bids with the help of relevant departments
* Preparation and administration of procurement advice, tenders, tender reviews and advice
* Production of monthly accounting, costing, contract, management and financial information
* Ensure deadlines are actively managed and progress is reported to supervisors as required
* Work with project personnel to ensure that profitable and commercial aspects are understood
* Assisting in the preparation of effective change control during the pre-contract stages and post contract stages
* Monitor, analyse and report on the bill of quantities, specification and contractual implications of ongoing and new projects
* Liaise with the client with regard to the development and follow-up business including the provision of quotes on minor works
* Assist the Contracts Manager in the preparation of tender enquiries, responses and the determination of the Company's charging structures
