The Project
As an experienced Site Agent, you will work on a £20m + project in South Yorkshire
Requirements
For this role it is essential that you carry the following qualifications as a minimum;
* SMSTS
* First Aid
* CSCS Card
* Degree or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering or related field
It is also desired that you hold the skills & experience below;
* Working with / safely excavating around services in a city centre environment
* Experience in dealing with utility companies and the diversion process
* Planning and delivering work in a safe manner in a highways and pedestrian heavy environment
* Delivery of high quality / specification public realm works (hard landscaping and paving)
* Experience in the design and build process and the changes in risk / approach required
* Anticipating and incorporating the needs of stakeholders such as local businesses and residents
* Working with a direct delivery model of delivery and ensuring that productivity is measured and corrected where required.

Duties
* Maintains quality control procedures at all times
* Manages a team of foremen and other site staff
* Pre-contract planning and liaison with estimators
* Planning, programming, and resourcing contracts
* Identifying tender and other financial opportunities
* Delegating duties to engineering and contracts staff
* Identifying, evaluating, and managing claims and variations
* Able to relate company commercial strategy to own activities
* Accepting, approving, and issuing contracts and subcontracts
* Compiling applications for payment and agreeing final accounts
* Providing quality input to regional management and planning meetings
* Manages the relationship with the sub-contractors while working onsite
* Managing projects to achieve financial, safety, quality, and environmental targets
* Takes ownership for ensuring that HSEQS protocols are always adhered to on sites
* Participates in compiling the initial programme and have a full awareness of weekly targets
* Promote integrated working with other members within the project to create a one-team ethos, including development of team members
