Senior Project Manager


The Company

A market leading principle contractor offering complete construction solutions across the UK; they have an impressive private and public portfolio of major industrial, civil, rail and leisure developments with build values in excess of £120m. Our client has a healthy track-record of profit growth and an annual turnover in excess of £600m, they are a highly awarded contractor with a number of industry awards and accreditations.



The Project

You will work closely with the Project Surveyor and Design Manager on fast track design & build commercial and industrial units.

Requirements

For this role it is essential that you carry the following qualifications and skills as a minimum;

* SMSTS
* CSCS
* Leadership and time management skills
* Ability to multitask and prioritise projects
* Strong communication and attention to details

It is also essential that you hold the experience below;

* Experience working on fast-track design and build projects
* Experience working in restricted workspaces and RC Frame builds is advantageous but not essential
* A proven history of working on projects in excess of £40m+ across various sectors such as industrial, commercial, accommodation and leisure
* Extensive background, up to 10 years' experience in the construction industry with a proven track record of success on major projects with a proven Major Main Contractor or Subcontractor

* Reporting to: Contracts Manager

Duties

* Chair and attend site meetings
* Conduct regular quality inspections
* Mentoring and leading the project team
* Overseeing quality and client satisfaction
* Provide and present monthly project reports
* Carry out programme and budget evaluations
* Monitor and control of sub contractors on site
* Management of onsite labour and subcontractors
* Liaising with the end client and key stakeholders
* Develop strong relationships with sub contractors
* Ensuring work is produced to the highest standard
* Oversee and implement health & safety regulations
* Negotiate with vendors, suppliers and subcontractors
* Liaise with the commercial team on estimating costs and timeframes
* Impose strict snagging, handover and aftercare measures to achieve zero defects upon completion
* Determine the required resources (manpower, equipment and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations
* Working alongside with Project Surveyor and Design Manager to help reach project target and get a better understanding of programme
