Project Commercial Manager


The Company

Our client has a healthy track-record of profit growth and an annual turnover in excess of £600m, they are a highly awarded contractor with a number of industry awards and accreditations.



The Project

You will work closely with the Contracts Manager and Project Director on fast track design & build commercial and industrial units.

Requirements

For this role it is essential that you carry the following qualifications and skills as a minimum;

* Superb negotiation capabilities
* Excellent sales and presentation skills
* Ability to multitask and prioritise projects
* Knowledge of tendering and preconstruction
* Strong communication and attention to details

It is also essential that you hold the experience below;

* Civils experience is advantageous but not essential
* Experience working on fast-track design and build projects
* A proven history of working on projects in excess of £20m+ across various sectors such as industrial, commercial and leisure
* Extensive background, up to 10 years' experience in the construction industry with a proven track record of success on major projects with a proven Major Main Contractor or Subcontractor

* Reporting to: Senior Commercial Manager

Duties

* Cost control
* Procurement
* Managing variations
* Undertaking site H&S audits
* Managing a team of Quantity Surveyors
* Monitoring and control of sub contractors
* Maximising quality of service and profitability
* Maintain and expand supply chain relationships
* Ensuring company procedures are taken place correctly
* Offer useful feedback to project teams and individuals
* Ensuring that all sector and company policies are met
* Working closely with Contracts Manager / Project Director
* The ability to encourage a team to achieve one common goal
* Internal reporting and monitoring of trade contractors on projects
* Conduct meetings on-site with client and construction team
* Maintain sustainable and productive relationships with existing clients
* To be able to interrogate the design to drive top value and efficiencies
* Must be able to remain composed and focused in complicated situations
* Develop accurate and consistent bids with the help of relevant departments
* Manage the team to ensure Project and Procurement proceeds compe
