The Company

A skilled construction company with a vast amount of experience in the Commercial and Industrial construction sector having completed many prestigious car showrooms, office buildings, hotels, sports clubhouses, and Industrial developments around the UK, specialist residential projects are undertaken, where high quality finishes skills are demanded.

The Project

As an experienced Contracts Manager based in the North West, you will be looking after various new build and refurbishment projects across the commercial, industrial and residential sectors up to the value of £10m. Project locations can vary so you must be willing to travel as required. You will be expected to regularly attend the sites under your management and will be fully responsible for the successful operational delivery of each project.

Requirements

For this role it is essential that you carry the following professional qualifications as a minimum;

* SMSTS
* CSCS Card

It is also essential that you hold the experience below;

* Previous experience of successfully managing and delivering multiple projects
* Strong knowledge of the construction industry within the industrial and commercial sectors in particular

The Role

* Job Title: Contracts Manager
* Job Type: Permanent
* Project: Various New Build and Refurbishment Projects
* Reporting to: Construction Director

Duties

* Managing subcontractors
* Looking after multiple sites
* Draft, evaluate, negotiate and execute contracts
* Demonstrate negotiation and problem-solving skills
* Responsibility with quantifiable results in contract negotiation
* Overseeing health and safety and quality assurance audits on site
* Provide both internal and external contract-related issue resolution
* Monitor and complete contract close-out, extension or renewal, as appropriate
* Monthly reporting and attending regular meetings with the Construction Director
* Manage record keeping for all contract-related correspondence and documentation
* Communicate contractual changes to all stakeholders, administration and/or management
* Liaising with the end client, local authorities, senior management and other third party stakeholders
* Coordination and management of tenders, cost-planning and developing in preconstruction and construction phases
