M&E Commercial Manager


The Company

A prestigious global Construction Contractor with an exceptional track record of delivering luxury, award winning, major flagship developments alongside an excessive global portfolio of £50bn+. They have projects across a variety of different sectors including retail, residential and commercial.

The Project

A major new build, private residential scheme based in East London. The overall build value exceeds £600m and will deliver 1200 new homes across various high rise accommodation blocks which will include amenities such as; gyms, a swimming pool, workspace and high-quality public areas

Requirements

For this role it is ideal but not essential that you carry the following;

* Relevant industry qualifications; minimum of HNC/HND/DEGREE

It is essential that you hold the skills & experience below;

* Extensive background, 5 years minimum with a proven track record of success on major projects with a proven Major Main Contractor or Subcontractor
* Comfortable and experienced working on major projects with build values in excess of £100m+
* Experience delivering M&E packages on major residential / commercial developments
* Superb negotiation capabilities
* Experience in claims resolution
* Experience of most forms of contract
* Excellent sales and presentation skills
* Ability to multitask and prioritise projects
* Strong communication and attention to details
* Indication of strong interpersonal and people management skills
* Experienced & familiar with managing / leading a large project team or multiple small project teams

The Role

As an experienced M&E Commercial Manager you'll head the commercial aspects of a £100m+ mechanical and engineering package on a £600m+ high profile Design & Build Private Residential Scheme in London. Representing and working closely with the wider business, you will play an integral role within the team based in London to deliver a state of the art build that is in line with all scope milestones, increases profit margins and exceeds all demands of current health & safety regulations.

Duties

* Prepare project report meetings
* Enforce Health & Safety at all times
* Cash management and maximisation
* The measurement and valuation of works
* Subcontract and Design Procurement
* Hold negotiations for monthly sub-contract interim
* Risk contingency planning and mitigation strategies
* Advising on Main Contract and Subcontract conditions
* Build up the supply chain to ensure processes are run smoothly
* Attend site progress meetings and present contractual reporting
* Interpret changes in cash flow and provide accurate margin reporting
* Represent a professional approach with the client to maximise turnover
* Ensure all works completed are matching agains
