The Project

As the Project Manager you will oversee the delivery of 2 New Stations in the Midlands valued at £60m. The stations will cut journey times to Birmingham, Wolverhampton and Walsall to up to 3 times quicker. The new stations will also open up rail travel to the local community. This will have a wide range of benefits, including: The project will create more than 120 jobs during construction. It will also restore more than a hectare of brownfield land. Brownfield land is land that was used for industrial or commercial purposes in the past. Alongside these stations my client has a number of other exciting large scale civil rail projects in the region.



Requirements

For this role it is essential that you carry the following professional qualifications as a minimum;

* SMSTS
* CSCS Card
* Full Driving License

Additional skills;

* Prior experience as a project manager on the civils aspect of a rail project

Duties

* Providing aftercare services to the customer;
* Seeking and developing on-going continuous improvement;
* Being proactive in the identification and resolution of problems;
* Undertaking annual assessments for staff directly reporting to the role;
* Ensuring the project team comply with the companies Business Management System;
* Reviewing methods of working, alternative materials etc in order to maximise commercial profitability;
* Maintaining effective and long term relationships with the customer and their representatives/advisors;
* Managing, supporting, mentoring and counselling members of the project team in their personal development;
* To support and be familiar with own role and responsibility in respect of Business Continuity Planning. Ensuring that team members are also aware of the plans and communicates same;
* Implementing and maintaining Company Strategy and Policies for Sustainability, Health and Safety, Quality, Environmental, Training and Develop
