Freelance Senior Planner


The Company

A leading global construction group providing technical regeneration services across the UK. Our client operates across various build sectors including: residential, education, healthcare, facilities and maintenance and upholds a strong sense of social responsibility throughout their business. They have an impressive portfolio of major developments with build values in excess of £200m alongside a healthy track-record of profit growth and annual global revenue in excess of £50bn. They are a highly awarded contractor with a number of industry awards and accreditations.

The Project

As an experienced Freelance Senior Planner based in Manchester, working on a number of projects both new build and refurbishment across the residential sector. The projects will be a mixture of pre-construction and live schemes, valued up to £20m each. You will have responsibility for preparing, monitoring and updating project programmes for both bid and contract stages along with ensuring projects are being delivered on time and within budget.

Requirements

For this role it is preferred that you carry the following professional qualifications as a minimum;

* HNC / Degree in Construction Management



It is also essential that you hold the experience below;

* Strong organisational skills
* Professional attitude and approach to work
* High level of ability in MS Excel and report writing
* Good understanding of construction principles and techniques
* Experience of producing construction/pre-construction/tender programmes whilst being able to logically link it together

Duties

* Produce risk registers and constraints plans
* Examine information and provide feedback on its impact on the program
* Guarantee the timely and precise completion of all relevant documentation
* Oversee and modify programs in response to revised or updated project information
* Participation in creating strong project controls and precise reporting and forecasting
* Aid in the creation of procurement schedules and schedules for releasing information
* Communicate the projects expectations and performance measures to key stakeholders
* Pricing of prelims as part of tender submissions and analysis of Labour Resource & Plant
* Prepare proposals and site plans in conformance with codes and local and national regulations
* Provide planning management and support to both the pre-contract and contract operations for the business
