At present they hold a £50bn project portfolio with a further £3bn secured for the next 10 years. They have delivered an array of high profile projects within the retail, commercial and residential sectors across the UK.

The Project

As a skilled Senior / Quantity Surveyor it will be your responsibility to oversee key work packages on a number of refurbishment and/or fit out schemes. You will be based within a live shopping centre working on projects with values between £5m - £50m across retail, commercial and residential sectors.

Requirements

For this role it is essential that you carry the following skills as a minimum;

* Excellent IT and software skills
* Superb negotiation capabilities
* Excellent sales and presentation skills
* Ability to multitask and prioritise projects
* Strong communication and attention to details

It is also essential that you hold the experience below;

* History of managing commercial packages on projects in the retail / commercial and accommodation sector
* Experience of working with a reputable contractor / subcontractor on projects in excess of £5m+

The Role

* Job Title: Freelance Senior / Quantity Surveyor
* Duration: 12 Months Minimum
* Project: £5m - £50m Various retail, commercial and residential refurbishment and fit out schemes.
* Location: West London
* Reporting to: Senior Commercial Manager

Duties

* Procurement
* Able to delegate and prioritise tasks successfully
* Maintain and expand supply chain relationships
* Offer useful feedback to project teams and individuals
* Internal reporting and monitoring of trade contractors on projects
* Confidence in presentation and the skill to lead high level meetings
* Maintain sustainable and productive relationships with existing clients
* To be able to interrogate the design to drive top value and efficiencies
* Must be able to remain composed and focused in complicated situations
* Must be organised and prioritise own work to deliver on time through organization of time efficiently
* Identify opportunities to expand the business, including through partnerships, mergers and new markets
* Increase and grow optimistic relationships with clients and client professional teams for all assigned projects
* Plan resource requirements for assigned projects, managing and personally working with the project teams to recruit and select quality colleagues
* Manage daily operations, including contract negotiations and production planning
* Assess risks involved with new initiatives, ensure deadlines are met and be ready to handle unexpected situations
