Senior Planner


The Company

The Project

This position sits within the major works department covering prestigious developments across the UK and in Europe. Initially, you will be based on a new build commercial development in Surrey with a build value in excess of £100m.



Requirements

For this role it is ideal but not essential that you carry the following;

* Relevant industry qualifications; minimum of HNC/HND/DEGREE

It is also essential that you hold the experience below;

* Proficient and experienced in the use of Asta Power Project
* Proven history of working as a Senior Planner on major build projects
* Experience in cut & carve refurbishment, residential, healthcare and commercial projects

Additional skills;

* Understanding of contract law
* Experience of most forms of contract
* Excellent sales and presentation skills
* Ability to multitask and prioritise projects
* Computer literate and commercially astute
* Strong communication and attention to details
* Knowledgeable on processes of pre-construction
* Indication of strong interpersonal and people management skills
* Holds a strong understanding of MEP systems and commissioning
* Holds significant knowledge on contract laws & planning techniques

Duties

* Carry out meetings related to programmes
* Overseeing planning development plans and applications
* Advising stakeholders on planning policy and regulations
* Build relationships with clients, contractors and consultants
* Carry out continuous research to keep the company at the forefront of technology
* Supervise requirement planning for department, division, project, and organization
* Communicate the projects expectations and performance measures to key stakeholders
* Pricing of prelims as part of tender submissions and analysis of Labour Resource & Plant
* Prepare proposals and site plans in conformance with codes and local and national regulations
