Senior MEP Commercial Manager

The Project

This position sits within the major works department covering prestigious developments across the UK and in Europe. Initially, you will be based on a £400m new build major development in the North East working closely with the Commercial Director and Project Director.

Requirements

For this role it is ideal but not essential that you carry the following;

* Member of MCIOB or RICS
* Experience working on data centres / manufacturing plants is advantageous but not essential



It is also essential that you hold the skills & experience below;

* Superb negotiation capabilities
* Experience in claims resolution
* Experience of most forms of contract
* Excellent sales and presentation skills
* Ability to multitask and prioritise projects
* Strong communication and attention to details
* Indication of strong interpersonal and people management skills
* Experienced & familiar with managing / leading a large project team or multiple small project teams
* Comfortable and experienced working on major projects with build values in excess of £100m+
* Extensive background, 10 years minimum with a proven track record of success on major projects with a proven Major Main Contractor or Subcontractor

Duties

* Able to delegate successfully
* Maintain and expand supply chain relationships
* Offer useful feedback to project teams and individuals
* The ability to encourage a team to achieve one common goal
* Internal reporting and monitoring of trade contractors on projects
* Maintain sustainable and productive relationships with existing clients
* To be able to interrogate the design to drive top value and efficiencies
* Must be able to remain composed and focused in complicated situations
* Develop accurate and consistent bids with the help of relevant departments
* Manage the team to ensure Project and Procurement proceeds competently
* Able to rapidly deal with conflict or issues that could affect the performance of the team
* Must be organised and prioritise own work to deliver on time through organization of time eff
