Yorkshire based Earthworks, Site Clearance and Demolition company with over 35 years of experience. Headquartered in Barnsley and has a turnover of over £10m. Our client works with major players in the construction industry. Due to large framework wins the company Is looking to bring on more quality personnel.

The Project

As an experienced Quantity Surveyor, you will assist a team in managing a variety of sites across Yorkshire and the North West. You will play a vital role within the site and the company to ensure all works are completed to specification, in budget and on time.

Requirements

For this role it is essential that you carry the following professional qualifications as a minimum;

* Industry Related Degree / Equivalent Level Qualification

For this role it is essential that you hold the skills & experience below;

* Completing Valuations
* Managing commercials
* Enthusiastic team player
* Superb negotiation capabilities
* Excellent sales and presentation skills
* Able to multitask and prioritise projects
* 3 years Quantity Surveying experience

The Role

* Job Title: Quantity Surveyor
* Project: Various Civil Infrastructure Developments
* Duration: Permanent
* Reporting to: Director

Duties

* Procurement
* Analysis of tender allowances
* Preparing material reconciliations
* Cash management and maximisation
* Preparing and submitting material delivery sheets
* Strong communication, sales and presentation skills
* Maintain sustainable and productive relationships with existing clients
* Develop accurate and consistent bids with the help of relevant departments
* Preparation and administration of procurement advice, tenders, tender reviews and advice
* Ensure deadlines are actively managed and progress is reported to supervisors as required
* Assisting in the preparation of effective change control during the pre-contract stages and post contract stages
