OLE Package / Project Manager


The Company

A large scale, established Contractor with over 50 years industry experience are looking to add an OLE Package / Project Manager to the team. This is to work on a railway in West London.

For this role you must possess the following;

Essential requirements:

* Strong leadership, management and motivational skills.
* Extensive Project Management experience at a similar level within large multi-disciplinary or turnkey railway projects.
* Extensive experience of delivering OLE projects
* Project management experience within the UK rail industry
* APM qualified or equivalent
* Engineering, business or project management degree qualified preferable
* Strong commercial aptitude & awareness
* Established IT skills/ Computerised Information Systems
* Experience of managing small/medium teams
* Strong management skills & ability in terms of, written & verbal communication; presentation skills; problem identification, categorisation and solving; people skills; customer management; negotiation skills and change management.
* Proficient working knowledge in programme software (e.g., P6e) and in the establishment and management of programmes.

The Role

As the OLE Package / Project Manager you will oversee the replacement of transformers and the copper piping on a 18 mile stretch of railway. The role will be based in North West London with trips to Birmingham.

DUTIES

* Lead allocated projects in line with programme/project reports as required.
* Projects include but are not limited to: design, manufacture, delivery, installation, test & commission into service, and handover of railway OLE contracts, including associated works.
* Ensure compliance with pre-commencement company procedures for allocated projects with respect to execution and completion, to ensure that the company liabilities and risks on the project are minimised.
* Represent the company at meetings as required with the client, main contractor, project professional team, and other relevant decision-makers.
* Ensure delivery to programme, technical and quality requirements and the accuracy of progress/ cost reporting etc.
* Retains full Profit &Loss responsibility for work packages and ensures their economic success.
* Ensures the project delivery requirements and company HSQE requirements are met.
