The Project

Working on an existing major shopping centre carrying out Retail & Commercial fit out projects in central London from £10m - £50m

Requirements

For this role it is essential that you carry the following professional qualifications as a minimum;

* Educated to Degree level in BSc Quantity Surveying / Commercial Management or equivalent experience / memberships

It is also essential that you hold the experience below;

* A portfolio of previously completed projects within retail, commercial and fit out projects with values between £10m - £50m

The Role

* Job Title: MEP Quantity Surveyor
* Project: £10m - £50m - Various Retail / Commercial Fit Out Projects in Central London
* Duration: 12 Months Minimum
* Reporting to: Senior Commercial Manager

Duties

* Procurement
* Analysis of tender allowances
* Closely monitoring site activities
* Preparing material reconciliations
* Cash management and maximization
* Monitoring and overseeing measures
* Ability to multitask and prioritise projects
* Must be team-focused and results focused
* Preparing and submitting material delivery sheets
* Monitor sub-contractor performance in consultation with senior staff
* Maintain sustainable and productive relationships with existing clients
* Develop accurate and consistent bids with the help of relevant departments
* Working closely with subcontractors to ensure accurate costs and payments
* Participate in the recording of delays & preparation of any request for extensions of time
* Generate/maintain relevant records, accurate filing and support for all commercial functions
* Preparation and administration of procurement advice, tenders, tender reviews and advice
* Ensure deadlines are actively managed and progress is reported to supervisors as required
* Provide tender analysis to relevant people for approval of proposed sub-contractor prior to placing of orders
* Participate in the management of the supply chain and project costs of construction projects to ensure the overall financial success of a project
