Freelance Site Engineer


The Company

Our Client is a large principal contractor with well over 100 years industry experience, they have a vast portfolio spanning multiple countries. They successfully deliver over £300m worth of work a year and aim to increase this in the coming years to over £500m to ensure continuous growth.

The Project

As an experienced Site Engineer, you will work on a Leeds Infrastructure Project providing expert technical knowledge. You will play a key role assisting the Project Manager ensuring the project is delivered safely, efficiently and in a timely manner.

Requirements

For this role it is essential that you carry the following qualifications as a minimum;

* CSCS Card
* First Aid
* Degree or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering

It is also desired that you hold the skills & experience below;

* 3 Years+ experience in a Site Engineering role
* Experienced in RC Frame

The Role

* Job Title: Site Engineer
* Job Type: Freelance
* Location: Leeds
* Duration: 2 Months
* Reporting to: Senior Project Managers

Duties

* Surveying
* Setting Out
* Problem solving
* Quality Assurance
* Raises RFI's and CVI's
* Training others in setting out
* Supervising a team of Engineers
* Adhere to current H&S regulations
* Create as built surveys and log data
* Recognise extras and potential claims
* Attend and contribute in project related meetings
* Management of onsite labour including subcontractors
* Provide progress updates to The Senior Management Team
* Write letters to external companies for signature by the Agent
* Provide Technical Advice to Project Team members and Clients
* Identify temporary works within the section ensuring they are planned
* Reporting in to and working closely with the Senior Management Team
* Liaising with technical, external specialists, etc to ensure they are implemented successfully
* Produce method statements for all operations carried out to be offered to the client for approval
* Relay information to site teams / labour to ensure works are constructed within required tolerances
* Understand and interpret contract documents (drawings, bending schedules, specifications, moss/setting out information strings)
