A leading global design consultancy with a portfolio stretching across the world. They have a vast portfolio of developments across a wide range of sectors, being involved in projects ranging from £500k - £10bn.



The Project

Various new build and refurbishment rail projects across the Uk with values ranging from £50k - £2m.

Requirements

For this role it is essential that you carry the following professional qualifications as a minimum;

* Ideally degree in an Engineering Field

It is also essential that you hold the skills & experience below;

* Knowledgeable of AutoCad
* Previous experience in a Civil Design Position

The Role

* Job Title: Design Cooridnator
* Job Type: Permanent
* Project: Various Rail Developments
* Reporting to: Practice Director / Engineering Manager

Duties

* Make sure designs are buildable and represent value for money by coordinating with construction teams
* Ensure consistency and quality of deliverables across the entire project by collaborating with the wider design team.
* Meet technical and project requirements with innovative, cost-effective design solutions
* Manage the production of engineering designs, calculations, and calculations
* Performing tasks such as Task Manager, Designer, Checker, or Approver when needed.
* Presentation of engineering options, conceptual outlines and detailed designs.
* Ensure that the work is completed according to the programme, budget, and specification.
* The application of new techniques, procedures, and practices to the office in order to contribute to the long term technical development of the office.
* Assist and support the Engineering Manager in any way that is required
