Works Manager Civil

The Project
A highly experienced Works Manager overseeing the construction of various Civil, RC, Groundworks Projects in Sheffield. You will ensuring that the workers are following correct work procedures and safety precautions and assisting and guiding the team to ensure client satisfaction whilst having tight control of project budget and time scale.
Requirements
For this role it is essential that you carry the following professional qualifications as a minimum;
* SMSTS / SSSTS
* CSCS Card
It is also essential that you hold the experience below;
* Strong knowledge of HSQE regulations
* Strong Management and Supervision skills
* A strong background in civil engineering, inclusive of earthworks and muckshift techniques, alongside drainage, structures, culverts and tunneling works. (Self-delivery of packages)
* History of delivering medium to large sizes construction projects from £5 Million - £50 Million that are complex in nature, inclusive of heavy Civil Engineering
* Previously worked on large scale / major projects within the infrastructure sector, for a substantial length of time
The Role

Duties
* Ensuring correct PPE is worn by the workforce at all times
* Ensuring HSQE regulations are taken seriously and adhered to
* Helping to ensure the project sticks to the pre-agreed construction programmes
* Promoting Health & Safety on site and implementing new systems (RAMS) as required
* Supervision of direct staff, self-delivering earthworks, structures and associated drainage
* Completing a site diary / daily records / weekly reports and assisting with progress reports
* Managing / Supervising works carried out, ensuring accurate work is being completed safely
* Interfacing between the Section Manager / Site Agent, on construction activities across the site
* Providing input into site reports and meetings, to assist with the safe planning and delivery of works
* Ensuring health and safety is maintained on site, achieved through completing inductions, toolbox talks, daily task briefings and overseeing operatives out on site
