The Role

Our client is a large forward-thinking business who provide a number of specialist services. The business was established over 10 years ago and has gone from strength to strength. They provide specialist ground works and civil expertise throughout the UK and is now one of the leading contractors in the Oil & Gas, Water and Utilities sector.

The Project

As a highly experienced Project Manager you will initially oversee the Civil Groundworks Tunnelling under Two Rail Way Lines in Glasgow. You will interact with both construction professionals and the client whilst managing a high pressure and busy environment.
Requirements

For this role it is essential that you carry the following professional qualifications as a minimum;

* SMSTS
* CSCS Card

It is also essential that you hold the experience below;

* Strong commercial sensibilities
* Good with paper work and admin
* Strong health and safety knowledge
* Good track record of project delivery
* Experienced with Microsoft excel etc
* Ability to deal effectively with client and contractor
* Strong groundworks and civil knowledge/background
* Degree in Civil Engineer or previous experience as a Project Manager
* Proven track record of delivering projects on within the programme of works

Duties



* QA
* Health & Safety
* Progress Reporting
* Liaising with clients
* Updating Site Diaries
* Complete Paperwork
* Support delivery teams
* Inductions / Toolbox Talks
* Overseeing Subcontractors
* Liaise with client and hold meetings
* Deliver project on time and to budget
* Ordering materials, plant and labour for site
* Manage Site Manager and the General Foreman
* Ensure all paper work and admin is up to date and accurate
* Ensure a high level of Health and Safety on site is maintained
* Provide safe working conditions for all site operatives and visitors
* Assisting in the management of onsite labour including subcontractors
* Occasionally providing cover for the Senior Site Manager when required
* Assist in the selection and procurement of subcontractors (and materials)
* Accompany the Senior Site Manager and NHBC inspectors during site inspections and take immediate actions when required
