Building Services Manager


The Company

A national construction contractor with regional offices in the Yorkshire and Midlands area, who provide clients with a diversity of work across a number sectors from; residential and leisure to hospitality and student accommodation. Major projects within the region range from £10m - £50m+ in value. The Project

As an experienced Building Services Manager you will be overseeing various projects in Yorkshire. You will be reporting to the Operations Director and will be expected to use technical, commercial, contractual and time awareness skills to ensure packages are delivered in time and to a high standard.



Requirements

For this role it is essential that you carry the following professional qualifications as a minimum;

* Educated to HNC / HND Level in Building Services or Related Field

It is also essential that you hold the experience below;

* Strong Project Management skills
* Leadership and management skills
* Reliable with strong time management skills
* Good mechanical and electrical understanding
* Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal
* Proven experience working on various new build / refurbishment projects with similar build values

* Project: Various Healthcare, Education, Commercial, Residential & Leisure Projects Across Yorkshire with build values in excess of £30m+
* Reporting To: Operations Director



Duties

* Identify and manage risks
* Review of M&E tender documents
* Monitoring and control of sub contractors
* Lead tender or bid interviews with sub-contractors
* Manage the coordination and design development
* Review the designs for suitability with the building structure
* Develop a close working relationship with the client's representative
* Conduct meetings on-site with architect, client and construction team
* Carry out Quality and Compliance checks during all stages of the project
* Planning and monitoring works and regularly reviewing of the programme
* Attend design team meetings and ensure that detailed designs are provided
* Hold compliance checking reviews with the services designer and or contractor
* Prepare detailed specific services statements for inclusion within our presentations
* Planning and overall control of all site operations to ensure that the project targets are achieved
* Organise and hold start up meetings with M&E Services contractors and produce written minutes
* Determine the required resources (manpower, equipment and materials) from start to finish with attention
